Certifying LSO APIs

The new LSO API Certification enables sellers of connectivity services to validate that their suite of APIs used for business transactions conform to MEF standards.

Tested and Certified LSO APIs are a combination of three elements:

  • Seller
  • Business Function
  • LSO API Release

A product payload is used during LSO API Certification, but it is not validated.

MEF LSO API Certification Workflow for Service Providers

  1. Initial informational engagement with MEF, signed contract, introduction to MEF’s LSO Certification Partner, Amartus.
  2. Service Provider meets with Amartus for a Certification Plan to finalize certification exam environment and LSO APIs under certification.
  3. Amartus develops the LSO API Certification suite and provides it to Service Provider.
  4. Service Provider uses LSO API Certification suite to validate API implementation.
  5. Service Provider schedules an LSO API Certification exam with Amartus.
  6. Amartus validates the LSO API Certification exam results.
  7. Amartus informs MEF of successful LSO API Certification for publication on the MEF LSO API Registry, with approval of the Service Provider.
