The LSO API Adoption Lifecycle

The MEF LSO API Test Service moves service providers through the implementation and partner onboarding stages of the LSO Adoption Lifecycle, including the critical “Develop and Test” and “Production” phases, with the end goal of achieving production-ready interoperability with multiple partners in a significantly reduced timeframe.

The LSO Test Environment

The MEF LSO API Test Service consists of LSO buyer and seller software-based emulators, hosted on a dedicated public cloud server for a subscriber.

The buyer and seller emulators can be used to:

  • Gain familiarity with LSO APIs by running default configurations to test requests, responses, and product payloads.
  • Perform self-assessment by testing against MEF’s reference implementation of LSO APIs.
  • Prepare an emulator configuration to match specific scenarios and configurations to share with partners.
  • Load partner-specific configurations shared by partners for pre-interop testing.

For Buyers

Buyers need an efficient, cost-effective method to onboard and maintain interoperability with many sellers.

Through the buyer emulator, the LSO API Test Service increases the number of partners that can be onboarded in parallel by an order of magnitude, as well as increasing the range and reach of services through partners.

Faster onboarding enables service providers to expand coverage more quickly, leading to greater enterprise customer satisfaction.

For Sellers

Sellers need assistance to gain priority to get onboarded with buyers faster.

Through the seller emulator, the LSO API Test Service enables providers to achieve LSO API compliance faster and with less effort.

MEF LSO API Test Workflow for Service Providers

  1. Initial informational engagement with MEF, signed contract, introduction to MEF’s LSO API Test Partner, Amartus.
  2. Service Provider meets with Amartus for a onboarding to finalize LSO test environment.
  3. Service Provider utilizes the LSO API Test Service for:
    • API Development
    • Partner Interop Testing (Optional)
    • API Lifecycle Management
    • API Certification (optional)
