Abstract:

NOTE: THIS STANDARD HAS BEEN SUPERSEDED.

This document defines the Traffic and Performance parameters that may be specified as part of an Ethernet service level specification (SLS). These parameters are defined to provide Subscribers with both a quantitative and qualitative characterization of the service they are getting from a provider, sufficient to allow configuration of CE and integration of the service into the Subscriber network. Consistent use of these parameters in the SLS will allow Subscribers to compare various service offerings. Additionally, Service Providers may use these parameters as guide- lines for specifying CoS-based Ethernet services.
